Missing Cino in Bali - 2014

The first thing I think of when I wake up is Cino.  It is three nights since we left her.

I can see the triangle which makes up her face, two small black coals and another centred beneath them, such an intense gaze, and the Muppet stitching of her mouth, too big for her little face.

Here I am in Bali, the Land of the Gods, with my Beloved, asleep beside me on a vast white bed.  Waterfalls trickle and birds sing outside our verandah, the air is warm and intimate and we have another day ahead do do nothing but satisfy our own desires.

I yearn to hug our puppy and feel such a surge of love that my eyes tear up.
